Past Negative Overview
Past negative forms express what something was not in the past. Both i-adjectives and na-adjectives have distinct past negative patterns.
I-adjective: 高くなかった - was not expensive
Na-adjective: 静かじゃなかった - was not quiet

Plain Form
Change い to くなかった
高い → 高くなかった - was not expensive
大きい → 大きくなかった - was not big
