I-adjective Conjugation Overview
I-adjectives conjugate by changing the final い. They have four main forms:
- Present affirmative
- Present negative
- Past affirmative
- Past negative
高い (takai) - expensive
高くない - not expensive
高かった - was expensive
高くなかった - wasn't expensive

Modifying Nouns
I-adjectives modify nouns directly in present form:
高い車 - expensive car
大きい家 - big house
美味しい料理 - delicious food
For past/negative, use relative clause:
高かった車 - car that was expensive
高くない車 - car that is not expensive
高くなかった車 - car that was not expensive
Degree Modifiers
とても高い - very expensive
すごく大きい - extremely big
ちょっと難しい - a little difficult
