Sentence Connectors

それで (So/And then)

Learn Japanese それで for showing results and consequences. Master 'so,' 'and then,' and neutral cause-effect connections.

What is それで?

それで means "so," "and then," "therefore," or "and because of that." It connects sentences to show that the second sentence is a result or consequence of the first. It's more neutral than だから, focusing on narrating what happened next rather than emphasizing causation.
