What is Kenjougo?
Kenjougo (謙譲語) is humble language used to lower your own actions when speaking to or about superiors. By humbling yourself, you indirectly show respect to the other person. Use kenjougo when you do something for, to, or in the presence of someone of higher status.
Regular: 私が行く
Kenjougo: 私が参る
