What is 〜かもしれない?

〜かもしれない expresses possibility or uncertainty, meaning "might," "may," "maybe," or "possibly." It shows you're not certain about something.

雨が降るかもしれない
"It might rain"

彼は来ないかもしれません
"He might not come"

Formation

Pattern: Plain form + かもしれない

With verbs:

行く → 行くかもしれない (might go)
行った → 行ったかもしれない (might have gone)
行かない → 行かないかもしれない (might not go)

With い-adjectives:

高い → 高いかもしれない (might be expensive)
高かった → 高かったかもしれない (might have been expensive)
高くない → 高くないかもしれない (might not be expensive)

With な-adjectives:

便利 → 便利かもしれない (might be convenient)

With nouns:
